Epoch International College is a registered training organisation (RTO 45791, CRICOS 03974K) based in Melbourne, delivering nationally accredited vocational programmes in leadership, management, and hospitality. The college serves both domestic and international students, many of whom are navigating visa requirements, accreditation details, and course selection for the first time. The website needed to be as professional and clear as the training itself.
The challenge
Vocational education in Australia is highly regulated. RTO and CRICOS codes aren’t just marketing details—they’re legal designations that students and their agents need to verify. Epoch’s courses come with specific entry requirements, duration, assessment methods, and employment outcomes. International students need to understand visa implications; domestic students need to know about funding options and recognition of prior learning (RPL).
The previous web presence was functional but didn’t reflect Epoch’s standing as a serious training provider. It lacked a clear pathway from “I’m interested in hospitality” to “Here’s the course, here’s the cost, here’s how to enrol.” Course information was incomplete, and the college looked smaller than it was.
What we built
We designed a course-first website that leads with Epoch’s nationally accredited programmes in full detail. Each course page includes: the RTO/CRICOS codes, entry requirements, duration, delivery mode (face-to-face, online, hybrid), assessment structure, and typical employment outcomes. We built an enrolment funnel that captures student enquiries and directs them to the right next step—whether that’s a free information session, a campus tour, or a formal application.
The site differentiates between domestic and international student journeys. International students see visa-relevant information upfront: processing timelines, visa financial requirements, which courses are CRICOS-listed, and pathway options (including bridge programmes). Domestic students see funding options, RPL procedures, and direct entry pathways.
We also created a staff directory with credential summaries—trainers and managers listed by programme, with their qualifications visible. This builds trust. In vocational training, the quality of instruction matters directly, and prospective students want to know who they’ll be learning from.
Why it works
The website mirrors how Epoch actually operates. A course isn’t a generic offering—it’s a specific accredited programme with defined outcomes. By making those details transparent and searchable, the site helps Epoch spend less time on enquiries from unsuitable candidates and reach committed students who understand what they’re signing up for.
The design also differentiates Epoch in a crowded market. Many RTOs treat their websites as a box-ticking exercise. Epoch’s site communicates that the college takes its standing seriously: CRICOS codes are verified, course outcomes are real, staff are qualified. The professional tone—plain, regulatory-aware, but not stuffy—positions Epoch as an institution, not a training vendor.
The outcome
The site is built to work as Epoch’s primary enrolment channel. Putting visa and CRICOS information up front removes a major friction point for international students, while complete, transparent course details give domestic students what they need to enrol with confidence. Staff can point prospective employers to accredited programme structures, which makes industry partnerships easier to open. The website doubles as an internal reference, too—trainers and managers use the course pages to keep the way programmes are described consistent across the market. For anyone weighing up training in hospitality or leadership and management in Melbourne, the site presents Epoch clearly as a serious, accredited choice.
